God is transforming me into this wonderful, beautiful and special human that Psalms 139:13-14 talks about. And it just takes me back to the whispers I heard in my spirit at the time that I was so down and needing a breakthrough.
I feel as if God is speaking these things to my soul:
“Trust Me as I trust you. I trust you to go with the flow of what I am putting in your life and in your soul. Do you see what I have given you? Why won’t you trust me to guide you, hold you, lead you, and help you as you are?”…
“I love you, Miriam. I have put so much inside of you that I will use for My Glory. Trust Me to use you. Trust that I will protect you. For I will do all that I said, and I will do it in and through you”
I remember when I was so frustrated, angry, hurt, broken, confused, and devastated. Nothing seemed to be working for my good. I remember how I would impulsively call my mum or one of my sisters in desperation. They were my go-to people when I was faced with difficult situations, instead of God.
I mean, I was still praying to God because I subconsciously knew to do that. I would even quote scriptures about His promises to His children in my prayers. Proverbs 3:5-6 were my favorite scriptures at that time, and still are. But I was just quoting them and not applying them. I knew that I was meant to trust God beyond my understanding but my mind did not accept the truth of that in the details of my life.
Until the quiet whispers called out to me. God reached out and set me on the right path. Today I am sitting on my bed, with a big grin on my face and with a song bubbling in my spirit because of how far I have come. I am on a journey of trusting God relentlessly and life has become so fulfilling.
Who do you turn to when you are faced with life challenges? Your dad? A sibling or a friend? Your therapist? God? What is the first thing you do when you are in trouble and afraid?
Facing life and all that it presents to us can be amazingly fulfilling if we just learn to:
- Trust that God is with us always. Hebrews 13:5b.
- Trust God that all things are working out for our good. Romans. 8:28.
- Trust that God knows what He is doing about our lives. Jeremiah 29:11.
- Trust God to answer us when we call on Him. Jeremiah 33:3.
- Trust that when we ask anything in God’s name, He hears and answers us. John 14:13.
- Trust that God loves us deeply and endlessly. John 3:16.
- Trust God and to thank Him in all circumstances. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
- Trust God wholeheartedly and beyond our understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6.
